Getting to The Bay Denmark

Whether you arrive by plane, bus, train or car, The Bay Denmark is easy to get to.
Just a few minutes from The Bay Denmark, Aalborg Airport offers direct flights to and from a number of major European cities, such as Copenhagen, Oslo, Amsterdam, and London. 
The nearby motorway, E45, goes straight from Germany and the ferry landings in Hirtshals and Frederikshavn.

Arriving from south on the E45:

Choose exit 20 (Vendsyssel, Hirtshals/Thisted) and keep to the left.
From here you follow main road 11.
Main road 55 and 11 intersect in the roundabout at Høvejen.
Follow them north towards Jammerbugten.
Main road 55 leads north to Blokhus, while main road 11 leads west to Brovst, Fjerritslev, and Thisted.

Arriving from north on the E45:

Choose exit 20 (Bouet, Hirtshals, Thisted).
Turn right, then choose the 3rd road in the roundabout.
This takes you to a new roundabout.
Choose the 1st road in the roundabout – main road 11.
Main road 55 and 11 intersect in the roundabout at Høvejen.
Follow them north towards Jammerbugten.
Main road 55 leads north to Blokhus, while main road 11 leads west to Brovst, Fjerritslev, and Thisted.

North and south from the E39:
Choose exit 9 (Aabybro)
From here you drive along main road 549 to Aabybro.
From Aabybro you can either choose main road 55 towards Blokhus or main road 11 towards Brovst, Fjerritslev, and Thisted.
